| HDL
Tip of the Month |
| When
writing a VHDL test bench, use x <= transport y after n ns;
to catch intermediate states. Reference: http://www.gmvhdl.com/delay.htm |
|
Chaos Circuit |
Chua's circuit is our weird
circuit of the month. This analog circuit can easily
be built with off the shelf components, or it can be
simulated. It is a realization of the double scroll
strange attractor from chaos theory. More information
can be found on Professor Leon Chua's
website.
More chaos theory to come: In an
upcoming newsletter we will explore the logistic function
and its bifurcation diagram.
